Super Hero Comic Book Cover
This Unit is a collaboration with the 4th grade curriculum theme. Students will be learning about super heroes not only in art class but in the other 4th grade content areas as well.
As a result of this unit students will understand the concepts of color scheme, body proportions, painting, and the characteristics of Comics. Students looks at the art work of artist Roy Lichtenstein and identified the comic characteristics and color schemes of his work. Students then imagined that they work up one morning with a super power and brainstormed how that super power would look. Students then also learned about normal and exaggerated body proportions and created a comic book cover for a comic book that starred them as the super hero.
Students are still working on this project.....pictures will be posted soon.
