6th Grade Art Class
Throughout the year students learned so much about art. Here's a little outline of some things they learned...
1. Students created autobiographical self portraits using their silhouette and images that describe their identity.
2. We talked about 2 pt. perspective drawing and how math relates to the process. Students practiced the concepts as a class and then used their knowledge to create their own realistic 2 pt. perspective city.
3. Students learned about the process of embroidery and analyze art works to gain a better understanding of how it was used historically and how it is used in contemporary art. Students practiced 5 stitches and then used their knowledge to create an embroidered work of their own that had personal meaning.
